This all looks really good but..Does anybody remember where and when the "Green Bean Cassarole" became a staple of Thanksgiving? When I was a kid I remember Dressing and Mashed Potatoes. My Grandmother made a Spinach cassarole with sliced hard boiled eggs on top. I didn't like eggs so much back then but my sister makes it now and I like it. I don't remember sweet potatoes except as a pastry. My Grandmother used to stuff both ends of the Turkey. One half was the liver and giblets which was horrible to me. I liked the stuffing on the other end. I wish I could go back and do it all again.

Had my first vegetarian Thanksgiving and that wasn't by choice. Nobody remembered that I can't stand the thought of turkey, much less a house stinking of it and there wasn't another meat option, so it was just carbs, sugar, and vegetables.. I ended up losing a pound too somehow. Was pretty strange to be going around lighting incense just to get rid of the smell of turkey in the house. Normally that would've made me hungry, but turkey has been my enemy ever since the surgery. I couldn't even cut the leftover meat off the bones because it was making me want to
