Exactly.

SA is getting the Jags and the NFL isn't expanding. Besides, LA has a pretty damn good stadium deal going already, while San Antonio doesn't have anything.

We, I mean they, just decided to spend a kings ransom to build Nelson Wolf's model train track. One boondoggle at a time please.

Wayne Weaver has sold the Jacksonville Jaguars to Shahid Khan, a Pakistan-born entrepreneur and head of Illinois-based Flex-N-Gate Corp, for $760 million. People familiar with the matter say Kahn used $350 million of debt to finance the deal.
The Jaguars, along with the Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers, have been mentioned as teams most likely to to move to a new stadium in Los Angeles for which Farmers Insurance Exchange has agreed to pay $700 million for naming rights. Weaver has denied the team will leave Jacksonville. The team's stadium lease with Jacksonville runs through 2027. But if revenue projections are high enough at the new L.A. stadium then it could all come down to how much Khan would have to pay to get out of the lease and to the NFL as a relocation fee.

San Antonio will eventually get an NFL team. The population trends and demographics for South Central Texas are too big and significant to ignore anymore. And of course you should never say never. Oh yeah, and I will hate the cowpigs until the day I die.

It will NEVER happen until SA builds a up to date stadium, which they will not do anytime soon especially for the Yags. The Alamodome is a dinosaur by NFL standards.

If that is the only thing that you think is holding up SA from joining the NFL ranks then we're in good shape. All we need is for the Jags or Vikes to move to the Dome and we'll build them a new Dome out on I35. Problem solved.

Who's WE? If you mean the tax payers of San Antonio and Bexar County I'm against it. Let all of the football fans who are salivating for an NFL team build it with private donations.

My feelings exactly. Do not want this team or any team if the taxpayers have to build it a new stadium. NFL stadiums cost at least half a BILLION dollars these days. The new one in Arlington cost a whole BILLION dollars.

No thanks.

Considering the ridiculous choices our government makes for locating sports venues, this one would probably be built in Von Ormy.
