I have had Sprint service since they came to SA (96-97). You can say a lot of bad things about Sprint's customer service, but no other carrier has signal quality like them here in town.

No problem with Sprint, however, I can't get a signal on my property out in the hill country nor in some of the backroads I take to get there. With other carriers, I am OK. Sprint for the City, but Verizon for the rural areas seem to be the ticket.

If you are on a property that doesn't get Sprint signal, you can call Sprint and tell them to send you an Air Rave. It's a box that plugs into your internet cable modem and is like having your own mini Sprint tower in your home.

I live in Stone Oak and in our first house here got great service. But in our new home we don't get signal on our lot. It's strange because I can go to my neighbor's lots on either side of me and get signal, or stand out in the street in front of my house and get signal, but no signal once I step onto my property. Not sure if I'm on top of a lead deposit or what.
Anyway, I got the Air Rave and now I get signal.

Also my friend out in the country (Waring/Welfare area) got one too. It works great for him.

I'd carry wood and a wet blanket before I'd ever have Sprint crap again. The first time it cost me over 70 bucks for an expired contract that I had given them the 60 days notice on. Then 10 years later I needed phone service at Medina Lake where I was building houses. I got their best phone and it wouldn't work despite the salesman saying it would. I took it back the same day. Because I bought a car charger, the salesman had ripped the cover off of the charging port- that cost me 50 bucks, I also had to pay for the box that I left at the store when I bought it- that was 25 bucks. Then I get a bill from Sprint for over 400 dollars for activation and cancellation fees despite the advertising- "If you don't like it, bring it back and it will cost you nothing to try us". They have NO.....repeat NO idea what customer service is. So if ANYTHING goes wrong- yer fault, their fault, it doesn't matter, YOU are going to pay or they'll turn you in for collection. Hacked me off so bad I hired an attorney which cost me more than if had just paid them. Lesson learned- Sprint will put it to you in a heart beat. Don't get REAL stupid and get their service.

Finally left sprint a few months ago (for Verizon) and I don't miss it one bit! It may say you have coverage, but good luck actually getting any data. I was constantly waiting for at least a minute for any web page to load and sometimes they just wouldn't. It's like the stupid phone would just sit there and laugh at you.
Good luck....

We have 5 lines with Sprint, 3 in Dallas, 1 in Tulsa, and 1 in SA and none of us ever has any complaints. AT&T, yes, Sprint, never.
