I don't like the cold or triple digit temperatures. I wish it could be 60 in the morning without the humidity and 75 during the day everyday.

This.

I grew up in the Northeast, so I'm no stranger to cold winters. Problem is after I signed up with Uncle Sam I was never stationed North of I-10 in the states. And except for a year in Korea and some temporary duty, was in a warm climate my whole career.

That said, I still don't like the triple digits with the humidity.

Actually I turned on the heat. Just few minutes ago. It was 43F inside my home ( open windows ). I left a window open in the bedroom and closed the door. Love to sleep in a cold room.

This was on my car when I left my work at 12:30 AM. So, be careful driving in the morning. It could be on the roads...

WOOOOO! we LOVE the cold! i'm sitting here snug in my fluffy robe eating some great tortilla soup, one of our dogs sleeping on my feet! after last summer i will never complain about the cold (not that i ever did, i do love when temps get super crisp).

what i don't like is turning on the heater for the first time since the freeze earlier in the year. all the gunk in the vents making my nose run for the next few days.

In that case, isn't the solution.....to clean the vents? Is that really so difficult?

I don't have any minimum temperature data as temperatures have most likely yet to have bottom out, but the coldest observations I have seen in the immediate metro are 27 in Boerne and Port San Antonio, 29 at SAT. Frost is certainly a problem this morning, especially with high relative humidity values.

The good news is that we'll have clear skies today and tomorrow, however temperatures will remain cool and we'll drop below freezing across many areas once again tonight. The sunshine will be short lived as overcast skies mixed with scattered showers beginning Friday and lasting several days.
