Really depends on what you want in a home/neighborhood/etc. It's such a subjective idea and everyone will have a different opinion.

I live in 78250 area and there are tons of homes for sale and rent and no one is buying. I am guessing it's because of all the newer homes being built near the area (alamo ranch area, etc).

I have 4 children, so family-friendliness and safey are primary concerns. We don't mind an older home, as long as the neighborhood is established and well-kept. My husband will be working in Castle Hills, so we are trying to stay north.

Those areas are so different and far apart. You need to decide where you will be in relation to work, what schools you want, and what's going to make you happy. They are all good, but we all have different needs and taste.

Interesting... The home we like the best is in that zip. If the neighbohood pans out, we'll be making an offer later today.

Schools are not too much of a concern, because we homeschool. But generally speaking, better school districts mean better homes.
