Well, i went into blockbuster (1st time in over a year) expecting to pay 4 bucks for a movie. to my suprise all their movies are .99, the new ones are 2.99. games are .99 each, and 1.99 for newer games. Redbox just raised their prices upto 60%. so now blockbuster is cheaper than redbox. I have never seen this advertised. anyone know why blockbuster never advertises that? will the people return to blockbuster now?

Exactly. They used to have a rental period of 4-5 days, so this is about the same. However, that .99 price point seems more compelling!

it is per day rate. but if you know you can return it on time then it is worth it. Plus you dont have to hope there are not people waiting to return or rent movies. you just drop it in the box and leave.

I found out that if you go to redbox website www.redbox.com find a movie, you can reserve it at any redbox location for you to pick up. I think thats a really neat feature considering most hit movies are all checked out when I go to a redbox location.
Also, FYI, Blockbuster on Blanco and West ave is closing it's doors this weekend!!!

Also, reserving online pricing remains at $1.00 per night, whereas Redbox "walk-up" rentals without reservations have recently increased to $1.30 per night.

Unless you have the RedBox codes, then they're free. Haven't paid for a RedBox rental in nearly 6 months, some don't work with the reservations but most will.
