First time post here...

We're a military family relocating this summer, looking to arrive 1 Aug to the area. Wanting a 4-5 BR home to rent....looking specifically in the area which will feed into Reagan or Johnson High School. If you are moving this summer, or know someone who is, please have them reply to this thread. We're looking to sign a 2-3 yr lease.

Thanks!

Budget? = depends. I'm willing to pay upwards of $2000. I did a check on zillow and it can get you in the neighborhood. I saw some of the places out of my budget. Houses come and go daily, and we're checking 3 known websites: zillow, militarybyowner, and ahrn.

Not in the market to purchase right now, even though the market is ripe.

Tango - yep, the 559th. Got picked up for the 2 and 2. Stoked.

Keep in mind that not all Canyong Springs communities feed to Reagan or Johnson. Some are in the Comal ISD which feeds to Smithson Valley.

I did see that. I'm definitely not opposed to SV, but looks more of a drive. Reagan and Johnson are where we're looking right now, but all options are on the table. I've simply did a bit of research on here as well as greatschools.com, etc and found that NEISD - with location to Randolp - is probably our best options.

Budget - $1600-2000 "ish". Damn housing market in Seattle has my wallet tied up being upside down and all or we'd purchase.

Any other areas I should be looking at? I'll have a 10th grade, 8th grade, 6th grade -- and schools are my number one concern. I don't care about commute!

-Cheers

What base are you coming from?

Schertz and Cibolo are also nice communities with good schools. Honestly, this would be the first place I'd look due to the proximately to RAFB.

I am curious where you ended up living -- NEISD or Comal?

If you haven't found anything there is a home for lease in The Coves @ Canyon Springs. It should be a four bedroom home. It is Comal ISD so it feeds to SV. We are a great little community and quite a few of us are retired military and active duty.

Moderator cut: zero real estate listings permitted in postings per Sr. Mod's ruling recently

OK after looking at the pictures it is the same floor plan as my home. Master bedroom is down with three bedrooms up stairs off the bonus room with another room off the bonus room which is the media room. The media room could have been an option 5th bedroom. There is not formal living downstairs. When you walk in the house there is a study.
