Is Kangaroo Court still open on the River Walk?

I used to work there just out of college, it was a good gig...even if it wasn't the best food! The owner was a quirky little guy who was one of the orginal visionaries of the River Walk. He owned the Original Mexican Restaraunt, too. Heard somewhere both places were closed now...

Kangaroo Court was my old stompin ground back in 1985!! I was down on the Riverwalk in May and could have sworn I saw the sign lit up for Kangaroo Court--brought back memories. I hope it's not closed.

It's closed. It actually open as another name. I can'r remember the name of it now, different umbrellas on the tables, and the cheescake is not the same.
I'll check the new name and let you know.

That is one of the first places I went to when we moved back. I wanted some of "my" cheesecake. I was sad to see that is closed down. I was shocked too.

When I was in high school that was a cool date - cheesecake at the Kangaroo Court.

I would love to have one of the witness stands that sat next to door.

Where is this restaurant? Do you know if anyone has this recipe? Is it in a cookbook?
Thanks

jeez, $50 for a cheesecake? $90.00 delivered? 12" serves 20 people? That's only about a little more than 1/2 inch for each serving......It must be really good!
