Hills at Alamo Ranch
Does anyone have any information on the Meritage/Medallion community within Alamo Ranch? I will be relocating to San Antonion soon and was wanting to gather as much information as I can on the Alamo Ranch Subdivision. We've made one tour of Alamo Ranch already and my wife loved the Meritage homes. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

I have friends who live in the Meritage/Hills section. Their home is really nice as Meritage seems to offer more for your money compared to D.R. Horton.

Isn't Mertiage in the "clear-cut" section of Alamo Ranch? If so, it would be nicer in the other section where there are a lot more trees.

By "other section" I'm assuming you're referring to the Pulte area, right?
FWIW, D.R. Horton has planted lots of trees in the area in the past year. It's still not as "lived in" as some of the communities on the other side of Alamo Ranch Parkway, but it isn't as bare as it was when they first butchered the land.

How negotiable are the homes in the Alamo Ranch area? I'm assuming the best deals are on the inventoried homes since the Builders will be eager to sale.

Good point, the builders should be ashamed of themselves and I would personally never support that practice. It's worth it to pay a little more for some responsibility.. not to mention, all the trees are why I moved outside 1604 in the first place. unfortunately they're disappearing WAY faster than anyone can replace them...

DId you guys look at the Newmark and David Weekly homes? The Pultes are quite nice too. Sorry though, don't have much info on the Hills homes.
