I'm totally with ya here. Give us a nice place to hang with friends first because there are already tons of places to eat already. Would love some non chain restaurants but I can wait for those until after we have AR Cheers

Paopoli's is open at 151 and Potranco (in the strip mall where 5 Guys is) and it has GREAT greek food...as far as sushi...I make my own with sushi grade fish from Groomers...

Thanks, Paka. I'll have to try that out...I took the GF to the new Thai place in AR. Not bad...asked them to kick the spices up a notch or two and they complied (as evidenced by the sniffling nose as I left).

I think that a "locals" joint would be a good balance to the chain places that are in abundance in the AR area (all over town, really). Yes, the bar at 54th is cool, but it's still a clone of Chili's/Ruby Tuesday/Insert_Chain_Here. (Booths, lots of "kitsch" on the walls, etc.) Not a bad thing, but there are times where it's nice to know the bartender (and vice-versa).
