Default Fogo de Chao vs. Chama Gaucha

I need to make some reservations for the big V-day next month and I would really like to go to either Fogo de Chao or Chama Gaucha (if its not too late!). I've never been to either but I have heard great things about both. Just curious on yall's experiences at either. Thanks!!!

You might consider Texas de Brazil, too.

Chama Gaucha tends to get booked up solid with reservations on special dates, so you might already be too late to get in there. Here are some earlier threads to check out:

They're all the same but I, as a Brasileira, prefer Fogo de Chao. There's just a subtle difference in the cooking that I enjoy. Plus the atomosphere is nice. But in all honestly, they're all the same, save for differences in the salad bar. Go to whichever is closer and has the right reservation time you need.

But if you're game for "GOOD" Brazilian food, there's a place in Austin called Sampaio's Restaurant. It is fantastic.

Good. You'll have fun. It make not be the quiet, smooth, romantic night but the atomosphere will be fun and the food enjoyable. Report back on how you like it.

I say do the lunch, it is 1/2 price. If you have to do it on valentines then you gotta pay. I been married long enough where the wife says cool lets do a few days after or before on a weekday lunch and pay 45.00 for both of us. (minus dessert and wine). But i only been to one of the few everyone is speaking of. chamagauas <--------misspelled. it is the one on 1604 northside.

I wish they had Tradicao Brazilian Steakhouse in San Antonio. When I am in Houston, or the Clear Lake area that's where I go.
