Does anyone know how I can get in touch with people who have kids with cerebral palsy? I'm feeling quite isolated being still sorta new to SA and with a 15 month old who can't crawl/walk. I really would like to get together with other folks who have children with CP. It's all good and well contacting organisations, but they never actually put me in touch with other parents, y'know?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys :]

This looks to be brand new, but it may be a start for you: San Antonio Parents Of Children With Cerebral Palsy Group (San Antonio, TX) - Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/San-Antonio-Parents-Of-Children-With-Cerebral-Palsy-Group/ - broken link)

That's her. LOL same girl on the profile pic here and on meetup.

The main reason I know that is because I checked meetup this morning to see if they had anything.

I know you don't want to contact any organizations but have you thought about the Shriners? They do a huge amount of surgeries for kids with CP (and other issues) and they perhaps know of someone to put you in touch with. They are the most wonderful people I've ever dealt with.

Haha yes that's my group! It's only been up for a day or two.

I'll get in touch with the Shriners! I know they have a hospital in Austin that specialises in CP so they may know people in SA who would interested in this. Thank you for the suggestion sapphire :]

You may also try asking around online message boards like Parent 2 Parent. There may be other local moms you can connect with there. I have a child with a genetic disease and I was able to meet up with a local mom on there. I have since moved but we are still great friends.
