I think the culprit this time around is probably mold spores from all the nice rain we've had recently.

Glad you're feeling better Paka! Wife went to doc today ....allergies sinus infection and flu. Came home with a few meds and an inhaler. I assume I've got the flu. Not much coughing for me though the congestion is there. I'm supposed to get flu shots and don't.

It has been weeks now with the ash allergies...since January. I'm better, but it won't completely go away until the ash pollen is pretty much gone. And I'm taking allergy medications! DH is so sick that I'm pushing him to go to the doctor. Stubborn!

Between the Cedar, Juniper, then the Ash and Oak pollen, SA in Jan/Feb is ROUGH on many of us....

GOOD news is I actually saw Purple Martin scouts out and about on my walk yesterday at lunch...AND the ash is really starting to actually bloom (as is the Mountain Laurals) so MAYBE we are going to be done and into full blown spring more quickly.

Also notice the bluebonnet plants are REALLY starting to grow large (just the plant, no blooms yet).

Default Scratchy, sore throat

I've been suffering from a sore, scratchy throat for two days now. I've had two restless nights of sleep, and I've been feeling tired and pretty achy. I figure it's the mold... or something. I feel as if I have a fever sometimes but my temp is only 97 degrees. What gives?

Don't laugh but if you close up, turn on the A/C and the dehumidifier (if you have one) you will QUICKLY come to realize that filtering out the allergens helps you sleep to at least battle the feeling thru the day.

BAD news if you are in (and out) of central controlled environment all day long, you will QUICKLY feel like a truck hit you. Just did my 4-9 pm nap...and ready to go back to bed to try to fight off tomorrow.....
