walk down austin highway at 11pm? ok. you coming with me? i wont even arm myself. youre really living in a fantasy world if you think austin highway is so bad that you cant walk down it past 11. maybe (and only maybe because i dont live around that area) the austin highway / naco area might be bad, but short of that, everything else is pretty darn decent.

there WAS one run-down motel that was close to the terrel hills border, but its been shut down for a while and scheduled to be demolished.

citation to the crime reports in 78209 also? specifically those around austin highway.

Austin Highway is not even close to crossing Nacogdoches. Nowhere in Bexar County does an Austin Hwy/Naco area exist. The road is called Perrin Beitel.

Yesterday, I was driving on DeZavala passing Wal Mart as I headed for I-10 and I noticed something awful. There is a nice undeveloped wooded area on the right directly across from WM. The awful thing was the amount of plastic WM bags that littered this beautiful natural setting. There were 100s of them and not just by the curb but 20-30 feet or more into the woods, stuck in trees, too. I checked Google Maps and did a street view search and you can see the mess ( those maps are a little outdated) . What I saw yesterday was a disgrace. I don't even live the Hardberger Park area, but now I can see why people don't want it there. Who wants tons of litter/trash in their neighborhood?

Just remember: WalMart's don't litter - people do.

There may not be a Wallyworld there now, but there soon will be. If I'm not mistaken, construction was supposed to start this month? I think the city council probably gave them a key to the city and bowed and kissed old Sam's ring this time around!
