Did that Chinese restaurant used to be anything else? Looking at it, it seems like it was definitely some fast food joint, I just can't think about which one right now.

Where is it, exactly? If someone could post a picture (or an address to google the image) I might be able to identify it.

I remember where the Wendy's is now there was this mexican restaurant called Fajita Junction. We would eat there all the time when I was younger- the early 90s. But as far as history that's all I can contribute everyone else has said the same thing I have.

The corner of Huebner and Vance Jackson had cows in a fenced in piece of land and foxes. Cows used to get loose and wander down DeZavala where the Burger King is now. Used to call the cops about it.

Before the HEB was built there, I think there used to be one at Babcock and Callaghan, just outside the loop. Near the Alamo Music store.

Yes you are right Fajilta Junction opened around 88, in the beginnning the place was packed then it died quickly very sadly. Food was not too bad.

The Marthas used to have booths but got rid of them a while back, I've been eating there since the early 90s, maybe even before then. Some of the waiters have been there that long which is very unusual for a restaurant!

I may have to check all that out before we move. It's interesting to know the history of the area. I couldn't assume it was always the way it is now.
