Hi,
My family and I are moving to SA in less then 3 weeks and we are in the Northside school district which we were told was good, schools have 9,10 ratings on Great schools.
We had to do all our apt hunting over the internet and phone since jobs and time off aren't working together, we have been to SA before and know the area.
We are looking into signing a lease at Ranch at Shavano Park, does any know about this complex??
It has some amazing reviews and then some awful ones, we love the amenties it offers, the schools, etc...
But any advice would be great

My sister lived here for 18 months when she was in college. This was over two years ago, but there were SO many break-ins. So many, in fact, that it was even featured on the local news. Also, since it is fairly near to UTSA, she said that the pool parties during the summer were out of a control. She considered that a positive and loved it, but if you have children that would probably get really old really fast.

Can't speak about the apartment community specifically, but we live pretty close and we really love the area. Elementary school is Blattman, which is a really good school. Middle school is Rawlinson and High School is Clark.

You are pretty close to La Cantera and the Stone Oak area, with tons of options for shopping, dinning, etc. Traffic is not too bad.

if you are willing to spend that kind of coin on an overpriced apartment, why not just rent a house?

or a duplex/triplex/quad?

2-4 neighbors > 20 thousand neighbors in a busy apartment complex. not only that, but imo an apt complex doesnt sound like the type of place (no matter how ritzy it is)that you'd want to raise a family in, no matter how small or large said family is..
