Is anyone familiar with a restaurant fitting this description? I ate there once in the mid 90's. The family I ate there with at the time said it was their favorite Chinese place in town. But I can't remember exactly where it was, and the traffic in that area is so bad it makes it difficult to explore.

It was west of I10 on DeZavala. Past the old post office. Close to the gas station on the same side of the road. The right side, as you are going westward.

Thanks for any info.

There is a Thai Bistro, which is a Thai restaurant in the strip center. It is in the Post Office Shopping Center. I think previously the location was a French European type restaurant. The name of that escapes me right now. But that is in the vicinity of where you are speaking.

It was either in the strip center or in a stand-alone building somewhere not too far past it. Before the apartments and residential area. I ate there around 1995.

It seemed like there were windows open around it, rather than a storefront strip. But it's been so long I can't remember very well.

The thai place is very new in comparison to the area in question. For the life of me, though, I can't think of any Chinese places. It couldn't have been across the street because that didn't come until recently either.

I'm wondering if maybe the building has been knocked down. I see a lot of construction going on in that area.

Doubtful. The only building ever knocked down, that I can recall was a little house at the corner of 10 across from the now Chase in the early 90s. Everything else was empty. The only things were the post office, post office center, the business area down the way and a handful of smaller building across from the post office- like the vet.

But someone seems to remember the place.

There is a Meineke shop just past the gas station. How long has that been there, I wonder. That's roughly where I remember the restaurant being. Otherwise it was in the strip center.
