I was not happy with it last year, the previous years was nice and now the bigger crowds takes away the charm.

Default Mission San Jose Great Outdoors

Thanks for the heads up George on the "Great Outdoors" event at Mission San Jose. I'm a regular visitor to the mission and should have been aware but wasn't. We loaded the Gkids and got there early. Everyone and their dog was there..lined up early and it was a great day to be out.

It was much better than last year - tons more people. Great weather this weekend for events! Between Get Outdoors and Siclovia, I am worn out.

BTW, that's my buddy Jack in this pic, in the jeans and black jacket - he volunteers for the hunter's safety events.

Default Spring Bloom 2012 -9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 10

SAWS is having an event this weekend, "Spring Bloom 2012" - they have a list of speakers on their site: SAWS News: Spring is in bloom on March 10!

Quote:
Before long, the weather will turn warm, flowers will be flourishing and the front parking lot of SAWS Headquarters will transform into a gardener's paradise.

Spring Bloom happens from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at SAWS Headquarters, 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 North.

This fun, free event is your opportunity to learn about gardening, landscape care, and so much more!

The first 1,500 guests will receive a free drought-tolerant herb plant, while supplies last.
