I've been waiting for a decision for the graduate school at UTSA. I applied in November for summer admission and am still waiting. I'm just curious about how long it took others to find out they were admitted/denied admission and what they recommend to help ease the anxiety of wanting to know! Registration has begun for the summer courses and I'm so ready to register...or drown my sorrows in a huge tub of icecream.......Even though I know I'm not the only one going through this, it often feels as if I am!!

Like everything at UTSA it probably depends on the program.

I think you had better call them and find if they ever got your registration. I applied to UTSA graduate school a few years ago and got my rejection letter in just two months. Just as well because I went to some talks by that department a year later at some national conference and the talks were the worst.

Hmmm... I did finally call and was told that it was undergoing a second review. So I guess I will just continue waiting...It's just so hard for someone with my patience!!

Will you be relying on student aid?

Yes I will, which is part of the reason why I am going nuts!! According to the staff at the admissions office, my financial aid should not be affected because I filled out the FAFSA in early January both last year and this year. I hope they are telling me the truth because I am at their mercy. It's a horrible feeling to be stuck here!! It feels like I can't plan, and I mean not even a vacation!!!

Ask them if you can meet with anyone face to face.
