I was dropping my son off at school, in line at the drop off circle in front of the school. After dropping my son off, going 10 miles an hour still on school grounds, I was honked at and passed by the car behind me for going to slow.

NYC doesn't have exclusive rights to rudeness and stupidity. I see plenty of it here in SA.

Bad drivers and obesity could also be explained by low education attainment.

1 - We drive everywhere
2 - It's damn hot outside
3 - The predominant food here is pretty bad for you

Whenever I used to pick up my friend's grand children from school, I noticed a lot of overweight children, from all ethic backgrounds. Things are a lot different when I was ten years old. If the weather was nice, I was riding my bicycle, playing stickball, or shooting baskets. I don't see that much these days. Most of the kids are surfing the web or playing video games. Nothing wrong with this, but a little physical activity would not hurt.

On a positive note, this does help me to find the correct gate when I'm connecting to a San Antonio-bound flight. I don't have to read the monitors; I just look for all of the heavy and dowdy people
