Mmmm Yes, I do. As you said they JUST got the denomination, they are plenty of other missions / small churches which got it decades ago. The missions are nice and have a very strong historic importance for the city and Texas but they are not first class, I have to see it before I die deal.
SA needs to realize is a nice small city but one of many, nothing wrong with it, and there are many things to improve, just being so proud of not accepting reality will not make the city better.

it is not my fault that UNESCO chose to give the denomination to the missions just now in 2015, it seems it was not high in their list of places.
Really, shake it off! it is not making any favors to SA to think it's the mecca of tourism, culture and entertainment...it is big for tourists locally within the Southeast/ Southwest, but that's it.

The timing of the designation, not denomination, (the UN isn't a church) had nothing to do with the prestige of the honor. You are absolutely wrong though people base entire vacations around visiting UNESCO sites. Millions from around the world come to San Antonio to visit various attractions in our city.

Millions around the workd come to the US to visit SA? I think not, maybe in very selected tours, most go to NY and west coast. Just be a bit reallistic, please.
I am European, lived in several countries before coming to the US, people in Europe can tell a bit about the Alamo but 90% dont know it is located in dowtown SA, and most people possess a strong knowledge of geography but that info is not relevant worldwide, you dont learn it at school.
