Where would be some reasonably priced 1 story garden homes or planned communities in north central S. A.? Maybe $700 to $900 per month rentals. Of course a good neighborhood is ideal but where?

We are not quite ready for a retirement community but would like to find a reasonably priced rental ($700 -$900) 2 bedroom 2 bath 1 story garden home in the north central area. Is that too picky? Some normal nice neighbors would be great too!

We lived in Calais Villas off Blanco Rd. and Parliament, across from Churchill HS. They are not garden homes, but nice condos/3 pools/townhomes (however they are 2 story). We were very happy there, quiet normal neighborhood.

There are some nice garden homes off Heimer near Brookhollow. I don't know how much they rent for, but it's a nice quiet area near the library and convenient to shopping and drs offices and all that good stuff.

Im not trying to make a joke but your not going to find it at that price range in North Central. You may over by churchill High School but those are not the most secure places to live. The ones off of Heimer I believe run around $1100 a month. There are some more off of Starcrest across from Blossom that may be more in the price range, they are more like townhomes. You may need to consider raising your price range.
