I personally think you're barking up the wrong tree (should go after the company that installed the a/c unit which is probably Airtron), but at least you got the problem resolved.

I agree, however it was North Texas Airco that went out of business. It was sold to us by Centex, they should take resposibility and own up to it.

Agreed. It is the builder's problem...not the A/C contractor. They put in what the builder has spec'd - not what ever they want. Sounds like you got the problem fixed. Your electric bill should go down with the newer unit. If you live there long enough you should make back a portion of the $5,000 you spent plus be more comfortable in the process.

Is there anyone purchased Centex home before and use their Mortgage or home insurance, please share your opinions.

Thank you very much!

As we all know, CENTEX HOMES left Michigan. Our house is in process of finishing up by end of May. Before CENTEX HOMES left Michigan, we got a quote that I cant believe we got this brand new house for this amount; surelly enough, another builder took over the sub with CENTEX HOMES and when we ask the current builder if they can give me the same deal as what CENTEX HOMES quoted us, and then the builder ok with it and now our house is in process..... I am praying that, I hope everything will go good.... as far as mortgage, etc. especially, of the economy right now.
