A lot of Katrina evacuees settled around IH-35 and 410 interchange and it continues to spread out from there. Converse is just adjacent. Why are there so many Pawn shops and Check Cashing stores on Perrin Beitel? I lived at an apartment complex off Perrin Beitel and Pit Bulls would sometimes be running loose inside the gated complex.

We chose Live Oak over Converse, Kirby and even N.E. San Antonio. Live Oak is decent, but I would rather live in a bit nicer area...not too sure where that is. We are renting by the way. Only lived here a year or so.

I went to look at the houses down there, but the area gave me a bad vibe. The neighborhood where the house was at was decent, but the neighborhood just down the street looked like the getto. Lots of graffiti and trash too. I never went back, even if it was only like 10 minutes away from my job. Alamo Ranch looks much nicer, which is were I chose to buy a house down the street from there.
