Exclamation Heads up! E Coli in westside water w/in 5 miles of Potranco-Ellison Intersection, Heritage Subdivision/Alamo Heights

KSAT is reporting that the well at Filemore and tippecanoe which is in the Heritage subdivision has tested positive for E Coli. If you live within 5 miles of the Potranco and Ellison intersection I would suggest bottled drinking water or boil it until SAWS can flush the system on the Bexar Met well. Here's the article:

Also, folks in Alamo Height are having water issues as well. They are supposed to boil their water until Saturday evening. Here's the article:

Default Alamo Heights: Boil water before consuming (temporary)

Thia is very important for those affected if they plan on doing any cooking. Debating whether or not to call and wake up a family member staying there over the weekend :/ It does not mention what to do for pet water bowls either? Should the water be boiled for them too?

Folks may not have noticed it, or it may have blown away - either way, what harm did it do to post it here?

Question What about restaurants in the area?

We were planning on dining in a restaurant at the Quarry tonight, should we change our plans? What's the latest on this, I can't find anything new. TIA!

The Quarry is located inside the City of San Antonio, and is not on the City of Alamo Heights Water System.

"But when the pressure drops, Sullivan said, there is potential for dirt, fertilizer or other contaminants to enter the water."

So this would give the "There's a Turd in the punch bowl" a whole new meaning lol

Tap water is for the help, we only drink Perrier or Evian out of crystal goblets
