I don't think so. Not since Polunsky's closed shop many years ago.

I don't think so. I asked around a when we first moved here about 3 years ago and everybody said HEB or Wal-Mart.

But coming from the RGValley, we were used to buying fresh seafood at different places.

its a real shame there are no seafood markets in SA. The HEB seafood market are about 85% over priced for a city that is only 150 miles form the coast. There is about two good seafood markets in Austin that is worth the trip.

Could you tell me the names of those and where they are located? I would like to check them out sometime. Thanks.

Ok... there is no fish market in SA but Costco's has the best fish and best price. Really excellent tuna and price.

It's not a "market," but this item from today's Express-News mentioning a restaurant I'd never heard of reminded me of this thread. In his advice column, John Griffin, the Dining editor of the Express-News recommends Skipper's Galley on Hillcrest Drive as a restaurant for someone seeking a place with fresh Texas shrimp and fish on the menu.

There is a wholesale place at 9801 McCullough by the airport called Groomer Seafoods that will sell retail when you go on. They have great product at wholesale prices.
