Oh, so that's it. From bowl game contenders coming off one of their best seasons to giving up and now hitting rock bottom. Huh, how funny.

UTSA was under estimated by not only you but many others. You figured a second year program couldn't be this good. A second year program that jumped from southland to independent to WAC to C-USA couldn't win games.

I guess tapping into a under appreciated and under valued recruiting market (SA and South Texas) wasn't so insignificant after all.

UTSA football is just scratching the surface.

Larry Coker is a solid coach. He's working for a well-funded program, for a hugely supportive administration. He gets to recruit in one of the best states in the country for football talent and his program is in a major US city with no other FBS or FCS programs to compete against (until UIW completes their move to FCS). It's not a foolproof recipe for success, but this is a program with a lot going for it.

Do keep in mind though, that 3 of the Roadrunners 5 wins this season have come against FCS teams. There are no more FCS cupcakes on the schedule, so they're going face tougher challenges down the road. How they do in their WAC conference games will enable fans to calibrate their expectations for next season, as the Roadrunners move up to a tougher conference.
