Why exactly do you think they have a high value? What would you pay for a used paperback? If somebody wanted it, you would get value for it. I got $90 for my box set of Oz on dvd on Amazon. But if you're talking about a random rom-com or action movie, they're worth about a dollar, so you'll see 50 cents.

On the other hand, you can find some good deals at local used bookstores. I have found books that listed at around 20 dollars online due to their rarity, for about 1 dollar apiece.

join the club. when i outright refused their offer (was selling a couple of house blu rays, unopened, and about 10 random dvds), the desk jockey on duty seemed shocked that i would turn down his 9 dollar offer on my 140$ worth of blu rays and dvds.

i would have accepted half, or even like 60 bux, but 9 bux when theyre just gonna mark it 5 bux below retail?? YEAH... NO!

There used to be a bookstore on Fredericksburg and Medical in the same strip as the Black-Eyed Pea that had a cat inside and it would even spend the night there alone.

I love HPB. One time I had heaps of books for sale. As usual they gave me pennies and even refused to buy most of them so I took the couple of bucks and donated the rest to them. Hope someone bought it in a cheap bundle and enjoyed them. Lots of hours of fantasy enjoyment. I also reclaimed some badly needed space on my shelves.

Love the vinyl albums at HPB too only wish I had insiders who could tip me off to any '80s New Wave albums they might get in stock.
