I've been looking for photos of the old hemisfair playground for years and have been unsuccessful. I remember there use to be a rocket slide there similar to the one in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-u7NKAh3o4*

We use to go there in the early 80's but I have no photos/video of the place. If anyone has any they can share I would greatly appreciate it.

I vaguely remember the old playground and all the unusual slides/etc. Like fairy tale characters or something. I also recall that it seem to be sort of enclosed by walls, not an open playground like you would see at a regular park.

MacArthur Park at Loop 410 by Salado Creek has some weird old playground equipment. They built a new playground but the older ones are still off to the sides of it.

I had my birthday parties out there in the late '70s early '80s. I will look through my mom's photos to see if I am on any of the equipment.
