I would recommend looking into your library events calendar. They are usually offering free food for the kids during lunch and afternoon snacks with little events planned for them throughout the week, such as shows and book reading.

At that age, we spent A LOT of time at the zoo in th kids' riverbank area. Lots of walks along the riverwalk (in the shaded section around King William), playing at Landa Library Gardens, and regular play dates with friends- at various houses. My kid (now 2.5) is usually happy to be anywhere with friends and preferably water. Friends loved storytime at the library, but never worked for my impossible-to-sit-still kid.

We like the Kids' Museum too, but it can be overstimulating for my kids. Or maybe that's for me....

My kids (19 months and 4 yrs) LOVE the McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels. Depending on where you live in SA, it can be faster to go to the museum in New Braunfels than the one here in SA. We have a membership and go 2-3 times a month.

We also regularly go to the zoo riverbank area, class at Little Gym once a week, and area parks for playdates (right now Orsinger Park and the park in Hollywood Park are their favorites).
