Good thing you have raised your kids well Jules...it sure helps us adults keep an eye out when we have a little heads up that something may be brewing...please thank you kid for showing such responsibility...he/she should be proud that they take the time to do the RIGHT thing even when it does not directly involve them!

Default Westcreek

Hello,
I live in Vistas of Westcreek and am about ready to throw rocks and these idiots who speed in the subdivision. I live on Blue Juniper and have had to yell out to quite a few people a couple of times to slow down, last week i even yelled out to the mailperson, she was flying down out street. What would the process be to get speed bumps on certain streets?
Thanks

Sneak over to Silver Creek and get ours! They don't work to slow people down much anyway, or so it seems!

In the last newsletter there was an article about speed bumps - the newsletters are available on the VWOA website. Looks like the first two streets to get them are Kingsbridge and Sage Run.

I feel your pain, we watch (and dodge) people all day flying down the street. Even the school bus! I'm worried that the speed bumps won't do much good - these folks are ready to plow over/around anything, including other vehicles...

They better not put in speed bumps in Westcreek and if they do, hopefully they're prepared to pay for new suspensions.. what streets are you all talking about anyhow? I go very slow through my street, but do go over the speed limit on Military and West Creek Oaks; 30 MPH on those two is just silly.. very few people drive fast down my street because it is very curvy and most people park their stupid cars in the streets, so you can't really see around the turns.. now that's an issue I would love to see taken up and it's definitely better than speed bumps. A car in front of the street is not only ugly, it's also dangerous.

Default Westcreek

I live on Blue Juniper in Vistas of Westcreek and cars fly by. I would be more than happy with speed bumps i mean come on this is a residential area with kids playing(my kids playing) don't come flying down my street. I promise i saw a Silver Dodge Truck doing at least 45 down my street today, i would say that is a little ridiculous.

My street is Sage Run, at the end of Westcreek Oaks:

Kingsbridge is towards the front of the neighborhood, by the clock tower:

ok, those streets should not have people speeding down them, but I still don't support speed bumps because of the damage they do to a car's suspension. It would be nice if common sense would keep people from going this fast, but obviously that doesn't happen often..
The thing I've found odd is the people that can't do 30 on the big streets are usually the ones that fly down the smaller streets.
