Thanks WellGuy

I had a great trip just outside of Tulsa and we had a white Christmas. 8 inches of snow fell on Christmas Eve.

The gift card to my wife's dismay is going to go for MORE LIGHTS...2nd place was not good enough. Once I win 1st place then I can stop putting up lights and start another hobby.

I just returned from dropping off Aluminum Cans for the Monthly Pickup and drove around several areas to see the display of lights, although most folks have their's off for the season. I am amazed at the look of the LED's. I know what I will be loading up on next year especially for our tree.

I did notice that there were two to three vehicles parked in the overflow parking area of the SportsPark. It appears to be several young men just shooting the breeze. I don't usually travel out this late and if I do it's not in the direction of the SportsPark. With all the reported vandalism I don't know why they gates are not locked shortly after the Park closes. I know that those fellows are not going to cause any damage, maybe some beer or soda cans left behind, maybe not.

My point is you would think that the HOA would have someone assigned to lock the gates. If not it's just an open invitation for something to happen.

Question Fire in Highpoint?

Was half listening to the news last night, and heard something about a house fire in Highpoint - I believe they said Point Sunset. By the time they got my full attention, the story was over. Does anyone know anything about it?

It was on Point Springs, not sure what caused it.

I guess I was not thinking about Fireworks being set off last when I saw the guys. I find it odd that our webpage states that Fireworks are not permitted in the Sports Park at any time.

A great job was done on enforcing that rule. I do not doubt that the gates were open December 31st also.

The fire started in the garage. The house was a total loss. The family that live there lost everyting to include one of their two cars. They have a five month old baby boy and a 4 1/2 year old girl. Some of the neighbors are collecting money for gift cards.

Totally missed the house fire on the news and can't even find anything about it now via Google. Perhaps a news story to circulate around would help spawn some interest/knowledge to help the family out. Is there a POC for donations?
