I am a Ramen noodle expert. A connoisseur if you will. During residency, I chose to live closer to work since I didn't have a car, at a pretty penny, and give up my choices of food options rather than live a littler further for cheaper and have money for good wholesome food. I could buy a closet full of Ramen for around 10 bucks. I have recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner using all kinds of stuff. I still eat it sometimes but usually its more of a salad topping or dry nibble snack.

Unfortunately, nobody in SA is making a quality ramen. I fairly see it offered. Thankfully, NYC & LA have several great shops specializing in the various styles. The broths can be so complex and the noodles manna from Heaven. I'm a authentic ramen *****.

The Monty has tried a couple of times, but still have room to improve. They got close to a David Chang styled offering.

British 'Super Noodles' are 1,000 times better than Ramen noodles. I miss them so I tried ramen here recently and hated it.

The best ones (at least for me) come from the Korean Food Stores. Nothing like ramyen noodles with kimchi or other stuff you might want to add from there. IE.squid, octopus,...etc.
