Hope's Cheddars will turn over the video? Huh - what does she think - they are going to use in their next commercials?

Folks do get followed and broken into. It's happened to folks coming from gun matches in town. However, how do they know you have money and jewelry? Also, does Cheddars have folks who bring the food out. That happens at some places in town. Drive up and they come out.

No at cheddars you have to go in and get it. I go to that one all the time and it usually takes a while as they are always busy at the bar area.

Yes, it could be that she was followed by someone who was aware that she was picking up cash for donations for the church as she stated.

Wierd story, but crime can happen anywhere at anytime. Know your surroundings and never leave anything in view

Why wasn't it in her purse with her? Why wasn't it locked in the glove? Why would you leave that in your car for any length of time? Why? Because she arranged for someone to break in her car and grab the cash and jewelery from a specific location in her car while she went inside. They get a cut of the money, she gets most of it, insurance replaces it problem solved. At any rate, even if that's not how it went down, I bet there was some fluffing of what was stolen to clear her deductible and maybe get some cash out of the whole thing. Who drives around with jewelery in their car? Was that from the church too?

I suspect much doubt is being cast simply because of her appearance. Had she looked less urban and more suburban perhaps others would not doubt?

In either case it is likely this thief will also be caught because they were caught on cam and several witnesses saw.

Really? I don't think it has to do with her appearance, but rather her actions - were they those of a reasonable person?

To me, no.........

How does she know what the tape shows if no one has seen it?

Most likely they told her and equally probable is that detectives need to request the video from Chili's if they wish to open an investigation. Patrolmen who arrive to take reports usually do not start collecting evidence on their own.
