Okay, hoping for a pretty clear consensus on this. Shoot, we're almost into Christmas, didn't we start planning this in July???? LOLOL

(I'm not terribly good at this, and groups don't usually want me to be anywhere near the planning table..... but ONLINE, where they don't have the benefit of looking into your glazed and vacant EYES!! HA!!)

Thanks for doing this Pops! Appreciate the effort, and hope one of these dates will work for the group...we are sure looking forward to it!!!

I am going to bring someone "new" so they can meet and greet the group and hopefully join up...how about you folks? Lots of people feel better about joining an online BB after they learn who the folks are and that everyone is friendly and kind...not dangerous and evil!

You're welcome, and I too hope we can get at least a decent sized group together. It will be nice to put faces with the 'names'....

Hiya....
Yeah, I'm going to do another announcement tomorrow, probably in the evening....
I have to be over that way and plan to actually look around in the north end of the park, and see how to verbally pinpoint a meeting place, etc.... Have several things on my agenda, including a professional association meeting where I hope to drum up some business....
think GOOD THOUGHTS on that one for me!!!

Will update all details very soon, hopefully tomorrow evening....

Seeya.... Holly - yes, the date is 10/20/07....

Great !!! GWrober and Fujifrontier!!!

I'd love to meet as many people as possible from here....

I actually did not get a chance to get to Brackenridge today....
Went to a professional association meeting (couple hours long); it was at Ft Sam Houston golf club, so I stopped to see an uncle's grave while I was there, then went to Panera on Basse Rd (more about THAT in another post.... and I was just exhausted by then......

So, I'm hoping to go tomorrow....

WE DO KNOW THIS:

It will be at Brackenridge Park; we will not have a Pavilion, but we don't know exactly where we will meet just yet. When I find a suitable spot, I'm going to try to post a doctored up map of the park on here...

We will meet early afternoon, after the lunch hour and before the dinner hour; that way, kids will have been fed and no one has to worry about carting tons of food or firing up dogs or burgers. We will ask everyone to bring snacks and dessert-type things though. It will be BYOB (no alcohol, please!) and it would be best if the snacks were finger type foods.

We just want to get to meet and know each other; If some people end up going off to dinner together, great! New friends made!!

Anyway, I will get the final details up as soon as possible, so everyone can plan.....
thanks so much, EVERYONE, for your patience!!!!

I talked with hubby today, and he's on call but we'll try to be there. Get the times nailed down, and he'll try to work around it.
