Lets start a new ongoing thread for free events in SA!

Any kind of event is good - right now I'm looking for free school supply giveaways and kids events.

Lets share what we know - so many of these are word of mouth only it seems.

There was a BIG one at Palo Alto College today. Lots of free food and giveaways.
My friend told me about one this Tuesday, August 10, at the Lone Star Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep dealership on I-35 at Somerset, from 3-8 with mariachi performances and free food and sodas, as well as free school supplies.

FYI: the shoe event (listed above by dakotamidnight), hosted by BloodnFire San Antonio, is for a targeted community, and you must have a coupon to participate. Coupons have been distributed in our target community. While we would love to offer shoes to all the children of the city, we do not have the resources to do that!! Bless you all and good luck with the new school year!
