Ugh, I moved here last year and it was around this time that I kept finding the big outdoor ones in my room! I woke up this morning and there was the first one of the year chilling by my bathroom sink. Ugh, they freak me out so much. I sprayed my bathroom area today with Raid for cockroaches and my husband got rid of the fella by the sink. I'm praying no more will come, but last year I ended up with about 8 of them. One even fell RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME as I was putting my make up on. I'm surprised none of you guys heard the screams..

Boric acid tablets. They sell them in grocery stores, etc. Put them in every nook/cranny of your house (out of reach of pets or children). The roaches will be attracted to them and eat it, plus it gets on them and goes back to the nest. Boric acid causes gas and roaches can't pass gas (fart), so it kills them.

Also, if you think you only saw one, don't believe it. Get up in the middle of the night with a flashlight and sneak out to your kitchen, you will likely see a lot of them.
