Hey yall, just wondering if there any current or former Fitness 19 (1604 & Braun loc.) members out there? I am currently a member of Planet Fitness on Potranco but there is a huge lack of free weights and it gets way too crowded in the evenings. I think its time to make a switch. How was your experience at Fitness 19? Thanks!

Try Anytime Fitness at Culebra/1604. Never too crowded. Just enough free weight to contain me. Dumbbells up to 100, Power rack, Smith Machine. The one at Potranco and Ellison has dumbbells up to 120. Also, check to see if maybe your health insurance covers your gym membership...more and more are adopting this. Mine does.

It's no frills. No basketball, raquetball, pool or sauna. It's a clean place to get in a good workout. Most people there are fairly to very serious. You don't have hoards of people on cell phones or socializing. Best thing is that they have a very good masseuse in the afternoons for members. She charges $30/ hour and is well worth it!
My membership worked out to right around $30/month, but like I said, my health insurance covers it. Just have to make 50 visits in 6 months..which equates to twice per week. No problem. Also, it's 24 hours and after the first 30 days, you get access to all of the clubs worldwide (yes, they have some clubs outside the US).

Im a member at Fitness 19.......... No frills as well, just a changing room. No locker room, pool, sauna, no fitness classes as well. Just cardio equipment, free weights and machines. It tends to get a little crowded from 4-7pm, but after that its cool. Oh yeah, I pay $10 a month.....but they do occasionally offer $5 a mo. rates.

Yeah I drove by there yesterday at abt 7ish. Its hard to tell how crowded it was by the parking lot because of all the surrounding businesses. I'm gonna go check it out tonite. And it is 5 bucks a month right now...woot!!!

Yeah, that's the problem with those $5 and $10 places..eventually they just get too crowded and it gets to be more and more of a struggle to get a decent workout in, at least in my experiences.

I believe they ask for an "enrollment fee" though... It may be like 49 dollars. If you find out if they do or do not, can you let us know? I may stop up as well.
