Default Place to eat close to Hemisphere Park

Hello,
Any suggestions for a place to eat close to Hemisphere Park? Have some friends coming in from out of town and will possibly be going to a concert at Hemisphere Park tonight after dinner. I am not wanting a place on the riverwalk to eat.
Thanks

Just take a ride down to Southtown/King William. Heck, walk. Just a few blocks south. You've got La Frite (Belgian), Feast, The Friendly Spot, Blue Star, Rosarios, Mad Hatter, etc, etc, etc.

Take Kev's advice and walk into Southtown. Some of the best, most unique eateries in the city (and locally owned).

You could walk to Rosario's, it's only a few blocks from Hemisfair Plaza... The food there is SO good!!!

The name is Hemisfair Park not hemisphere. It is a play on words taken from the name of the 1968 Worlds Fair held there. Don't feel bad though because for many that is ancient history. Just educating, not criticizing.

Heading south along S. Alamo, just past Cesar Chavez:

Alamo Street Eat Bar - collection of gourmet food trucks
Azuca - Nuevo Latino cuisine

behind them, on S. St Mary's St - El Mirador - Tex Mex
or Filing Station - pizza

Across from Azuca - La Frite - Belgian cuisine

continue south, cross over Presa to La Foccaia (Italian, but I don't recommend it)
Next cross over St Mary's - Rosarios - very popular Tex Mex

if you go South on St Mary's:
across from the school - Cascabel - interior Mexican;
on the right side, past Pereida - The Monterey - eclectic funky diverse menu

If you head down South Alamo:
Feast - eclectic, more mainstream than Monterey
Friendly Spot - ice house with Mexican Street food
Liberty Bar - American cuisine
continue round the curve - Blue Star Brewery - typical Brew pub eats

did I miss anything? Oh, you can head south on S Presa to Taco Haven, but I only recommend them for breakfast

All an easy walk, these are in order as you're walking south from HemisFair.

oops - just realized the timing. A little late. Let us know what you decided.
