I checked out their website, the looked like a pretty typical Fast food burger...what makes them so good?

I love me a good burger. Although I've never heard of IN n OUT, I'd certainly give them a try.

I'm visiting friends in Los Angeles and I could barely control my urge to pull up to the drive-through window at the first In-n-Out restaurant I saw. It was only the knowledge that homemade tamales were waiting at the house that gave me the strength to resist.

Oh my yes bring it on. I'm from the east coast, and we had Five Guys. I think they're trying to spread out here, but Whataburger simply dominates the specialty fast-food burger out here.

I go to Cali at least once a year, and the first place I go when I get off the plane is In-N-Out. Gotta get it animal style!

I know we need and IN and OUT in the Seattle area. I would put one in, in a heartbeat.

i relocated from california (yes, i'm one of THOSE people) and in-and-out is on my short list of "things i'd kill to have here in san antonio", right along with frys, trader joe's, tap plastics, and a dick blicks!

i read some parts in this thread that 5 guys has a similar burger? i'll have to try that out. even if it's wishful thinking, no need to be too put off by people wanting it i'd rather they put up an in-and-out instead of another mcdonalds or taco cabana, but that doesn't mean i wouldn't take another small biz burger joint, if the food is good (nether texas nor california... "mom & pop" does not always mean "good eats", or vise versa)

God, can't we please leave this I&O saga alone until we actually see a press release?

Bottom line: It's not happening anytime soon. No one has produced evidence to support one coming to San Antonio, much less Texas.

... Even if they did come to Texas, do we really need another fast-food chain? I'd support another local eatery over I&O anyday. We need more spots like Texas Farm to Table (at The Pearl) and homegrown spots that focus on knowing/catering their customers and not just making them obese.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this. Based on the pages and pages of glee when a Carl's Jr is opened, methinks an I&O would do more than well here in San Antonio.
