I want to believe this but I don't think it's going to happen

I would just as soon they don't come here. I look forward to going places that have unique stores, restaurants, etc. and if they're everywhere, then they're not so special. Just like Trader Joe's--yes, it would be great to have one, but then going to CA (for me) becomes just that much less "special". And you chain-haters? Jeez.....why would you want this to happen????

It's silly that people that eat at chains get bashed for it, yet people are clamoring for a "chain" to come here, so when it does finally come we'll get bashed for eating there??? Is that the thrill? One more way to bash on people?

I/O is NOT coming to Texas. I know this for a fact, as I went to university with one of the Snyder children and we still keep in touch. As of now, they don't have plans for anything past Las Vegas, much less into Texas.

It's a nice rumor, but for now, just that: A rumor.

Moderator cut: orphaned I don't think that's the issue... I simply stated what I know to be true from the family who owns the joint.

Misinformation on I&O is prevailant: It's one of the more 'storied' burger joints out there and that leads to a LOT of speculation. Just because you seem to have some kind of issue with me personally, don't turn this into a he said/he said issue.

If I&O DID expand past UT/NV, fantastic. I have no horse in this race.

Tucson, AZ is past Las Vegas. I'm not saying they're going to make them here in Texas, but some of what you've stated already is incorrect so it's hard to make your statement valid.

I went to LA in June and had In N Out. It was great, but it doesn't really matter to me. I think us Texans view "good" hamburgers as big and juicy; Something In N Out is not, so I doubt this chain would please as many as one might think.

Why does anyone have to be lying? I doubt that there's any intentional deception happening in this thread. We'll find out who's correct eventually.

It's not a rumor. It would be inappropriate to disclose how I know, but it's first-hand information.

That said, it's not a 'sure thing' at this point that I/O will enter the market. But they are looking at locations in DFW.

I couldn't care less if I/O comes here.

And I totally agree with you regarding unique stores, restaurants, etc.

I enjoy In 'n' Out, so I wouldn't mind if they come here, but I'm not dying for one as there are other choices available. If one was here, I would eat there, but I also go to California at least once a year and can get my fix then.

I think people on vacation or business trips encounter a regional or local chain and love it, so they want to enjoy it or share the goodness of it with folks back home... There is a Facebook group right now that wants to bring Chick-fil-a to Omaha, NE.
