Anytime you see a CL ad with no phone number, just an email address, it's a scam of some type, especially with a gmail address.

If it looks too good to be true, it always is.

That's about ten grand below Kelly Blue Book. I would be more inclined to think it's a typo than a scam but you never know. Email the guy and if the price is firm per his response, I wouldn't waste the time with it as it most likely is a scam.

If I see a car that Im interested in on CL, and most of them say, "Have title in hand" I ask them to scan the title so I can see it. If they want to remove their address or personal info, thats fine, just scan the title so I know its real. they all tend to disappear after that request...

Meaning that the car is stolen....gotcha.

I sort of figured anything that far below blue book value isn't something I want to waste my time with. Even if they had the title there has to be something there that's causing 'em to sell it for so little.

Did anyone else notice the mountain in the background? Pic was clearly not taken in SA. (doesn't necessarily mean the entire ad is a scam, but...)

Wow, you're getting "took" on that high price... look at these for around $2000 in Dallas & Houston:

Only $1900 for this one:
2006 Honda Accord EX2

And this one for $2236: White! 2006 Honda Accord

And, this one for $2000: =========2006 Honda Accord EX-L EXL LOW MILES=========

Run, run far away from these scams!

I never post my phone number when selling things on Craigslist. I even use the anonymous email address. I did respond to an ad once where the person did post his phone number. I believe he was trying to sell a stolen vehicle because he didn't bring the title when I specifically asked him to and the VIN I took down was not valid. When I asked him to text the VIN to me thinking I had made a mistake taking it down, he told me he would and never did.
