Am a single female in her early 60's who wanting to relocate from the upper Midwest to TX early next year. What city would be the best to live in San Antonio, NB or Seguin? ( I have never visited those cities before.) Grew up in a small town but have lived most of adult life in large cities. Hoping for a home under $30,000 if possible.Thanks.

With all due respect....there's not a decent home in any community that comes to mind in the country that can be bought for $30K.

With your age and limited budget, either some kind of rental assistance or roommate situation would been needed to be happy just about anywhere that I can think of.

SA DOES have a low cost of living....but I think that you are being unrealistic with 30K and hopes of owning on your own.

Wishing you the best...wherever you end up! Paka

Contrary to some opinions, there are homes for under $30k. They may need a little work, or may not be in the hippest area, but there are options.

Here's a link for SA, and you can search NB and Seguin, too.

San Antonio Real Estate - San Antonio, TX Homes for Sale - REALTOR.com®

There are probably more potential activities in SA, but smaller towns might be great for retirement too and easier to meet neighbors.
