The express news reports that Walmart is going to be opening a new 150k sq ft store on walzem at parkcrest by 2014. Good news on the development front in that area. Also a new shopping center is planned for eisenhauer and 35.

That's interesting. I think there used to be one at I35/Walzem years ago. I don't know why it closed down.

Here in Plano there is a Walmart directly across from a Neiman Marcus. Hopefully development will continue to increase.

It couldn't be expanded into the supercenter format which was over 200k sq ft at the time. Also new stores on Austin highway and 78 were constructed.

I remember when they built Windsor Park Mall in the 70s. Forget the Wallyworld and reopen the mall. It was a nice place to hang out till it went caput..Why did they ever close it down?? Hmmm...

The mall is now the HQ for Rackspace.
