In June I sold my house and moved in with a relative in Michigan. Now I am contemplating returning to Texas (just cannot do this awful weather), and don't know whether to rent or buy. My child and her family may or may not be staying in SA after next summer. So, a suggestion was made to me to buy a motor home (small is all I'd need).

Any advice on how this could work out for me? Is it a viable solution at least until next summer or even longer if I move with my family to a new area? Where would I park this?

This is a whole new experience for me, as my life took a very different direction a year and a half ago. Everyone's thoughts, advice and ideas are appreciated.

TIA.

Honestly, I don't think living in a motor home would be a good plan. If you want small/inexpensive, then look for an apartment. It will be bigger/better/safer.

By the way, did you ever get my DM?

Hope it all works out for you!

Cheers! M2

I agree with M2... I don't think the motor home idea is the way to go as there can be much more expense involved in this initially - as well as in the long run - especially just to park it, while with an apartment rental you are free to come and go as your lease permits without any other surprise expenses along the way.

So sorry to hear the move isn't working out for you, so do hope you find what will very soon. But, just a word of advice, please DO base your decision on what is best for you, what meets your needs and wants rather than on the moving whims of family!

Take care!
