I went and saw Willie at Floores Country Store in Helotes on Thursday. It was PACKED, I heard 3000 people were there.
I was just wondering if anyone else from the forum went?

It was a blast.

Went last time he was there...about 2 years ago.

It was equally packed then...and the two things I did not appreciate were #1--they kept selling tickets, no where to sit, no where to stand...just packing them in like sardines and #2--he did not come on stage until about 10:30pm. Those of us that were there at 6:30 to get a spot were TIRED of waiting...especially when the rest of the sardines were so thick in front of us we could not see anything at all.

Other than that, it was fun.

They did quit selling tickets this year, but it was still crowded. We tried to get there early but the couple that we went with couldn't leave early sooooo we didn't get a seat/table either.
That was the only downfall. And apparently Willie has some new songs out which I didn't know about. I wish he would have sang more of his old classic songs.

I probably would have never bought tickets myself. But some friends offered us free tickets and a designated driver.
We couldn't pass it up.

I love Willie Nelson. We have heard he shows up there. I would have gone and been happy to be in the crowd. When we lived in Nashville we went to see him and he NEVER took a break, not once. It was insane. The man just played on and on. I love him and yes I am jealous you went !!!!!!!!
