Several weeks ago, I saw that the City of San Antonio was hiring a Perrin Beitel Revitalization Coordinator. This is the reason why I voted for Councilman Carlton Soules in District 10. He was a part of the Austin Hwy Revitalization Project, so I have high hopes.

Wow. Sad. I grew up over there, it was a "nice" area, my mother (single mom) struggled to pay higher rents so that I could grow up in that area and go to a decent school (Madison). Moved out of there after I had kids, opting for the center of town, and haven't regretted it, but sad to hear that it has gone downhill.

There was a thread on here several months ago about either a Target or Walmart going up there. I think it was Target.

I lived in an apartment over there from Sept 2008 until April 2010. When it came to buying a house, I looked elsewhere. Having pit bulls running loose in gated apartment complexes, along with gang activity is disconcerting.

I live in northern hills, so this would be great, but then i don't mind going up to the one further on nacogdoches rd, just around the corner from my work.
