I wonder where it could be. A good view, not to crowded, not too much of city light, a little of landscape for a background.
Anyone has experience with a good location? Please share...

The SAFD sponsored specific "safe zones" during this past Fourth of July to allow people to safely shoot fireworks, but I am not seeing any information on their website.

You could try calling the Bexar County Public Safety Communications Center at (210) 335-3473 to see if they have any knowledge of similar sites this New Year's Eve.

But as stated in the ban thread, this rain we're getting most likely will put a damper on things...

Cheers! M2

Oooops... I meant... taking pictures...
Yeah, the weather is not very promising. It will be too wet and nasty cold to enjoy the outdoors.

Isn't the rain going to be over by midnight, though?

Sorry, I misread your post. I would expect the SeaWorld and Six Flags fireworks displays to be the better ones in the area if they even do them tonight. There are numerous areas near both that would be optimal for viewing/photographing...

Cheers! M2

We've had good luck before with the big fireworks display downtown, parking at the top of one of the Rivercenter mall parking lots.

It's really foggy in my part of town, Ralph Fair/Fair Oaks...

Wondering how much fog, if any, there will be downtown tonight...

Fireworks may not be able to be seen...

Or, if the amount of fog is just right, they can be even cooler!

I remember seeing fireworks displays in Europe during similar conditions, sometimes it adds to the effect!

Cheers! M2
