Because stations are required by EEO laws to have employee populations that reflect the ethnic balance of the market they serve. The Asian and African-American population percentage is relatively low in the SA market, so there are relatively few members of those minority groups hired. The people representing those ethnic groups at each station may be working behind the scenes.

I just noticed Jacqueline Ortiz was back @ WOAI this weekend. She's my favorite news person here, especially that smile..

Joanne Lochard of KSAT and Marvin Hurst of KENS do bang up jobs as reporters. Of course, there is Anthony Pittman and Drea Avent on Fox 29's Maximum Sports who do quite well also.

Does anyone remember a woman I think weekend anchor for KENS that looked like she was a porcelain doll? Almost like she was not a real person. She was recently here at KENS but I went to the web site and notice that she is gone. Anyone know her name?

Ainsley Earhardt? She moved on to Fox News Channel in NYC, where she can be seen anchoring overnight on weekends.

I have seen her on the show and think she fawns all over the guest and does not seem to be an authentic person. I will NO longer watch Great Day SA. They should have given it to Eileen. Now she is a person true to herself. She comes across as a real person.

I totally agree with you . They should have given it to Eileen. Eileen is so natural, authentic and fun to watch. She is very professional.

No, she had dark hair and the longest eyelashes I have ever seen.

I believe you are talking about Amanda Taylor. I used to see her at Lowes all the time

You think she is black looking? I can't tell what Grace's ethnicity is. Her bio says she is in NABJ.
