So we have a large swath of land to cover to level our lake - er, yard. Where can we find dirt, cheap? Southside would be best, but we'll go wherever we need to.

While I'm at it, does anyone have a concrete contractor to recommend? We need to lay a slab for our garage (currently has a dirt floor with stable doors).

Have you tried Keller Materials at Rigsby and 410? We buy sand and bricks from them, and I think they must sell dirt. Also, try craigslist--look in the materials section first, then garden, and then finally check the free section as well. You can get some deals on there.

No help for you on the concrete slab.
